Recent Renovation Nearing Completion!

The home featured is situated on 5 Acres in Louisiana-it was found on an online auction site and was left abandoned, vandalized and decaying.

After significant mold remediation, a new roof (including pitch correction) removal and replacement of all of the interior drywall, all new energy-efficient Carrier Heat Pumps/ductwork and accessories, new electrical service and wiring (thanks to a very dishonest local electrician), and refreshed exterior, the project is nearing completion!

Below are some "before and after" photos of the project in progress....

What you see as haze and discoloration in the kitchen photos was mold on every surface-the cabinets, the counters, the ceiling and walls.

Bryant Jaycox Ray Van Os House Grosse Ile, MI  ca. 1904
This lovely linen-fold style staircase is believed to have been removed from the Historic Hotel Pontchartrain in Downtown Detroit during its renovation in 1900-1907.
The newel post lamp is not original to this house but a wonderful, period piece found by the owner.
